Peak demand - 11,100 MW

The national peak demand for electricity reached 11,100 MW

National demand for electricity reached 11,100 MW this evening, a new record of all times for the winter season.

Last peak demand of all times was recorded in the summer of 2010, about 11,500 MW.

Peak demand was recorded despite the electric company's urgent appeal to the public to minimize the use of electricity-gobbling products until 21:00.

The reserve power production stands now on about 400 MW!...
